Don’t give up yet, wait a little bit more Part 2

  • I started writing this topic two days ago and I did promise to continue after the interlude from Pastor Sophia’s article yesterday.

I am writing to someone out there, don’t give up yet!

    1. I wonder when all the prophecies over my life will come to pass
"By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come."  (Heb 11:20, KJV)

God’s word over your life will not fall to the ground. God’s word over your life will be fulfilled. It may look like it is taking long, but don't give up. His will word will not be prolonged in your life. He will do what He has said He will do.

God usually will cause prophetic words of things to come to be proclaimed over your life before they happen. Those things may look incredible, they may look unbelievable, but hold on to them because they will come to pass.

Stay away from all compromise so that His word over you life will not be prolonged. His part is to cause the words to come to pass, your part is to make sure that you live according to His ways and in His plan. Once you do this, His word will be fulfilled in your life.

    2. I am tired and I am about to seek help in the world
"By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment."  (Heb 11:23, KJV)

The parents of Moses refused to fear and they preserved God’s plan for a whole nation.

You see, don’t get tired and thereby abandon God’s plan and His way because it seems too “slow” Listen to this, you can never be faster than God. That seemingly speed without God will later turn into the slowest agonising years ever!

God’s way of prosperity seems slow and the world’s way, riddled with sinful lifestyle seems fast and smart? But what happens at the end?

    3. The christian life is not appealing, I want to enjoy my life for now
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward."  (Heb 11:24-26, KJV)

What does it mean to esteem the reproach of Christ greater riches that the treasures in Egypt? It does not mean living in poverty. It does not mean suffering and living a wretched life. What it means is that you have decided to live according to God’s way instead of the world’s way riddled with partying, promiscuous lifestyles, lying, cheating, adultery and the like.

The reproach of Christ is when the world begins to mock you and call you stupid for serving God and on account of your faith.

But, you know what, don’t give up because you will win at the end. How do I know? God already decided the winner. David got to this point in his life and he began to envy the world. But when he entered the sanctuary, he understood their end.

Listen to me dear, you will win and you will rejoice at the end. You cannot serve God with your life, time, talents and treasures and be a loser at the end.

If Moses had despised the children of Israel and identified fully with the treasures of Egypt, he would have jeopardised the emancipation of a whole a nation, which is a prophetic agenda of over 400 years!

    Don’t give up yet!

    4. Pastor, I am too far gone, is there any hope?
”By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace."  (Heb 11:31, KJV)

Rahab too was far gone. She was a popular and notorious prostitute, but just by aligning herself in the plans of God, her soul was saved.

Have you ever asked, how could a harlot, a notorious one for that make it the Faith’s Hall of Fame in Hebrews 11. She became a great grandmother of Jesus!
It tells you about the “craziness” of God’s grace! If you repent of your ways today, God will embrace you. Do you also remember one of the thieves crucified with Jesus? His soul was preserved because he aligned at the last minute.

Listen to me, if you return to God today, He will make all things new in your life. He will embrace you and cause great things to happen in your life!

I write to you this morning, don’t give up in that which God has asked you to do. Don’t give up on that vision. Don’t give up on that marriage. Don’t give up on that business. Don’t give up on your future!

God is about to make all things new in your life!
