How to get anything you want from God

  • 1. Line up your desire with His will

Jesus made some wonderful statements that seemed unbelievable. One of them is this:

" If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. "  (Joh 15:7, KJV)

The question is that is it possible to ever get to a point where God will do anything you ask? Yes, that is exactly what Jesus said.

You see, when you ask according to His will, you will never ask outside what He wanted done, so He ends up doing what you ask, because you are not asking amiss and you are not asking to consume upon your own lust.

You are asking based on the template of what is already His blueprint for you and the way to get there is to abide in Him in constant fellowship and let His words abide in you as well.

The moment your desire is lined up with His will, you will never be denied of whatever you ask, because in the first place, you will not ask what He doesn’t want for you.

So you see, the idea is not to pray more and scatter your energy, it is actually to be at the center of His will and plan for you life, and when you do that, your prayers get answered so easily. As  matter of fact, you get to a place where God begins to answer your thoughts! Ever before you open your mouth to pray, it is done! That has happened to me a couple of times.

"Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [ action of His ] power that is at work within us, is able to [ carry out His purpose and ] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [ dare ] ask or think [ infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams ]—"  (Eph 3:20, AMP)

    2. Live right before God and before men
To get things from God, you will need to stay way from sinful habits. Sexual temptations abound everywhere, but they are traps of the devil to trip you and set you against your maker.

Why is sexual sin so different from others?

"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."  (1Co 6:18, KJV)

It is not just a sin unto God, it is a sin unto your own body.

Your body is made form the earth. When you sin against your body, it is like sinning against the earth. The earth is the place of sowing and reaping, but you sin against it, you go against this universal law of seed time and harvest, you actually go out of sync with its operation and that has tremendous effects!

My joy and your hope is that we are not left alone. God does not condemn you, He just wants a relationship with you, and no matter where you have been and how far you think you have gone, His everlasting arms of love are ever open to receive you, cleanse you and make a glorious destiny out of your life!

Apart from sexual sins, live right. Don't cheat people, don’t live deceiving others, and so on.

    3. Be fully persuaded
The third way to get anything from God is to be fully persuaded.
Not half way persuaded, but to be fully persuaded.

"And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform."  (Rom 4:21, KJV)

Be fully persuaded in His promises over your life. You will finish your education, irrespective of the seemingly lack. You will get married, irrespective of your age. You will carry your baby in your hands irrespective of what the Doctors are saying.

See yourself in the reality of that promise, that it is already done and then it will be done.

Do you know what? That word will never fail. Hold on tightly unto it. Keep confessing it even if people are laughing at you. They will soon laugh with you.

Believe it. Let there be no space for doubt in your heart.

    4. Finally, do not stagger

"And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;"  (Rom 4:19-20, KJV)

Stop thinking and considering the problem. Rather spend time thinking on and considering the scripture and His promises. That is the path to victory!

Abraham refused to consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb or his own dead body, he refused to stagger!

That is what you need to do. Stop analysing, embrace His word, hook, line and sinker.

Too much analysis often leads to paralysis!

Stop being logical and stop harassing yourself on how it will be done. It will just simply be done! How it will be done is for God to figure out, not you. Yours is just to believe!

"Abraham didn't focus on his own impotence and say, "It's hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child." Nor did he survey Sarah's decades of infertility and give up. He didn't tiptoe around God's promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God,"  (Rom 4:19-20, MSG)

    Oh, I love that.

He did not focus on his impotence. He did not start surveying Sarah’s infertility.

The same way, God did not make you a surveyor of issues.

He didn’t keep asking skeptical questions. What did he do? He plunged into the promise! That is what you should do. Plunge into His word and His promise and you will come out strong in Jesus name.

I see impossibilities melting away into possibilities before you. I see God infusing you with supernatural strength to be committed until it is completed.

I see you rejoicing soon. I see you having the victory. I see you testifying to God’s goodness, and that will be your portion in Jesus name.

Pray that God will show you His will and His plans for your life

"There is a sense in which sexual sins are different from all others. In sexual sin we violate the sacredness of our own bodies, these bodies that were made for God-given and God-modeled love, for "becoming one" with another."  (1Co 6:18, MSG)

Renew your persuasion in God and talk to your father.
