Don’t give up, you will yet rejoice!

  • God woke me up with a word for someone this morning.

God asked me to tell you, “Don’t give up, you will yet rejoice! Regardless of what the situation looks like, listen to me, if you can stay with God, your victory is set!

"Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:"  (Isa 66:10, KJV)

Don’t let people surround you with pity party over any issue around you! God is so specific about your victory that the advice He has for all around you is that they should rejoice and be glad.

Why would God say that despite my situation?

You see, God is not looking at your situation, He is looking at the end. He is not seeing your single status, He is looking at you with your spouse and your children roundabout your table!

You look at yourself, you are getting old and there is no spouse. People are concerned for you. Everybody becomes a marriage counsellor around you offering all kind of tips. Even unbelievers are advising you because they feel it is looking like an insurmountable problem.

But those are men. At a time, Job looked at all his advisers and said:
"I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all."  (Job 16:2, KJV)

What men say and conclude do not really matter. Only one thing matters, and that is what God says. What is God saying? He says, ‘Don’t allow any pity party. Tell them to be glad, because when you stay with God, you never lose.

Look at the way The Message Translation puts it:

"Rejoice, Jerusalem, and all who love her, celebrate! And all you who have shed tears over her, join in the happy singing."  (Isa 66:10, MSG)

Celebrate! I am sure Job experienced more than this. People around him told him he was finished. His wife told him to curse God and die! But He said, “I know that my Redeemer lives!” Glory to God.

What are you trusting God for? Fruit of the womb? His word is that none would be barren. That is where you should “camp!” Forget about what your in-laws said, it is what God says. God will glorify His word in your life!

Is it about your career or academic pursuit? God has your back, front and sides covered!

    But Pastor, time is going!
Take a look at verse 8
"Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children."  (Isa 66:8, KJV)

What it took others ten years to accomplish, God says He can do it in your life in one day! Shall a nation be born in one day? Yes it can, because God is talking here. And indeed, it happened.

The children of Israel, sentenced to generational slavery, spanning over four hundred years, their destinies seemed set to permanent and everlasting servitude. They have not only be born into slavery but their fathers were and their great grandfather were! Their only legacy was slavery, servitude and suffering. Their situation seemed set! The Pharaohs rode of their backs, and for a long while, their God seemed to have gone on holiday. But in one day, God discharged them! God said, it is over!

Every thing that try to keep you in servitude, you are discharged today in Jesus name! I curse every sickness in your life, every ailment, pains and aches, loose your grip in Jesus name!

Believe the word of the Lord this morning, and you will see the Salvation of the Lord!

    Lokk at verse 9
"Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God."  (Isa 66:9, KJV)

God is not playing a game with your destiny. That which you are pregnant with, there will be delivery!

Is it your wedding? Is it a Visa? Is it a godly marriage? Is it a change in your marriage? Is it financial breakthrough? Is it church growth? Is it fruit of the womb? Is it bodily healing? Is it in terms of your career? Is it a job opening? Is it promotion at your work? Is it getting a contract? Whatever you are pregnant with, there will be delivery!

Your gestation period may be different from mine, but there will surely be a delivery. At the end that wedding will not be late, it wil be the latest in town!

Did I tell you I went through this at a time? It was a price I needed to pay for Kisses and Huggs Club to be birthed! And thank God for His grace to pay that price, In fact, my whole family paid the price!

Transitioning from pastoring a vibrant church to starting an online ministry, it was a difficult time for me and my family at the time.

I wanted to pastor a church by all means, because I just couldn't figure out how an online ministry would work. I didn’t even know what a blog was!

For two years, I speculated on what to do and for those two years, my finances went down. I had all kind of advisers! Oh, Pastor Dunamis, you are such a fine anointed pastor, go and start a church.

I would pray and God would say No. It is not time yet. You will still have a church, but that is not the assignment for this season of your life.

Online ministry in Nigeria? I couldn't even get one person to consult who is doing something similar! Some even laughed at me. You mean you want to become a Facebook pastor? What kind of nonsense is that?

But you know what, God will not often make sense. But if you stay with Him, others who mock you will rejoice with you eventually.

In 2010, I fully embraced what God said, and today, I am happy for the impact of KHC in nations across the world. Lives have been touched everywhere. The joy of ministry is impact and lives changed for God's glory. Miracles ranging from bodily healing, fruits of the womb, deliverances from sexual perversion are all over the place, all to the glory of God.

In other words, don’t give up on your dreams and goals.

What are those things that kept me going? If you can be doing those few things, your victory is sure!

    1. Stay close to God. Don't joke with your devotion. Be consistent.

    2. Stay away from sin. Especially sexual sins. Make up your mind. There is no way you won’t slow yourself down if you are in a habitual sin.

    3. Surround yourself with good people. During this time, God blessed me with great people at GHC, Lagos where I worship at the time. They were my good friends!

    4. Stay close to your pastor or mentor. You need fathers to help midwife your delivery safely! Rev Victor Adeyemi played this role in my life then as a father to help birth that season of my ministry. He kept encouraging me and he so much believed in KHC, even when it was just writing of devotionals without feedback from anybody! Rev Victor Adeyemi will be ministering on the first day on KHC Camp meeting 2015! You shouldn't miss that!

5. Keep giving. Never stop giving. Pay your tithe regularly and keep the covenant activated over your life. Find a ministry like KHC and partner with them. Let your seed be part of God's move in the lives of others on a consistent basis. That is how you preserve yourself financially, and that is how your dream will not lack resources.

    6. Keep saying the right words. Don’t give in to negative thought patterns and confession.

    7. Keep praising and thanking God for what He will do. Focus on what will happen and not what is happening.

    8. Keep learning. Keep developing yourself. Never allow despair. Stay strong and you will surely see the salvation of the Lord.

I will stop here this morning. But never forget the word of the Lord to you this morning, “Don’t give up, you will yet rejoice! That is what I see in your life, Celebration! Did I hear your Amen?
