Seven ways to move forward as a single or married

  • This morning, we all have different situations we are beseeching God about. We all have a particular thing we want God to do in our lives. We all desire a change from God.

There are things you do and you will always get into trouble. Like when you walk with wrong person, when you ignore God’s instructions, when you get into habitual unrepentant sins, when you stay in strife and bitterness of heart and so many other things that  immobilise and truncate God’s blessings.

The same way, there are things you can do to create a change in your life.. There are habits that  can re-write the events of your life. There are practices that will put a stop to any curse and create a new path for you. There are covenant habits that can bring the desired change into your life.

This morning, I want to show you seven things you can do as a single or married to create a change, to change your financial status and to birth whatever you want. The list is not exhaustive, that is, this is not all, but these are what I feel led to write about this morning.

    1. Jerk up your prayer life
The first thing to do is to step up your relationship with God by increasing the time you spend in praying in the Spirit. I have said it over and over again, if you are not yet filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, you are simply missing a lot. You can call me today anytime from 4.00pm and I will pray with you over the phone and you will be filled.

"But you, beloved, build yourselves up [ founded ] on your most holy faith [ make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher ], praying in the Holy Spirit;"  (Jud 1:20, AMP)

    2. Regulate your spiritual intake
The next thing is to regulate your bible reading and prayer times. Read God’s word daily, as in daily. The day you don't joke with that is the day I know you are not joking with your spiritual life. The word of God is likened to milk. Ever seen a baby that was not given milk? The baby will not survive it!

"Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [ completed ] salvation,"  (1Pe 2:2, AMP)

But then a baby stops taking milk after some time. He goes for strong meat. So, you move from few verses you read daily to reading, meditating and studying, because you want to develop and grow.

"But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."  (Heb 5:14, KJV)

People of God, the reason I have not slept with someone apart from my wife is not because I am a pastor, there are many who say they are pastors and are doing that, it is because I am kept by God’s power which is the word of God.

Listen to me, the word of God, read daily, meditated upon and studied can deliver you from any demonic influence, can stop any temptation and will protect you.

"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the WORD of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."  (Act 20:32, KJV)

    3. Get involved in a local assembly
The next thing is to get involved in a local assembly. Serve God with your time. I have a problem with anybody who says he or she is a child of God and yet does nothing in church.

When you serve God, He will be committed to you and He will help, favour and support you.

    4. Serve God genuinely and with integrity of heart
Doing things right is very important. Do not try to deceive others because you will end up deceiving yourself.
Be a person of integrity. Integrity means sincerity, being one in your word and action. Integrity preserves and protects. Integrity will announce you in great places.

"The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them."  (Pro 11:3, KJV)

    5. Be accountable to authority figures
Accountability is very important. Don’t joke with your parents and pastors. They have seen what you are trying to see. They have walked the road you are fearing to tread. Go for their wisdom, and you will avoid unnecessary afflictions.

    6. Don’t joke with your tithe, giving and kingdom support
Your tithe is your covenant connector. It activates God’s covenant over your life. Don’t joke with it. If you are struggling with giving God ten percent of less than a million Naira, how then will God bless you with a billion? If you are still searching for scriptures to debunk tithing, then you are simply not ready for supernatural abundance.

Support God’s work. Any ministry that is actively reaching souls and thousands daily like KHC, put your seed there. Be a part of it. Share in the harvest. Put your seed wherever you can see God. Let fruits accrue to your eternal account. If the devotionals are blessing you, doing something for you spiritually, then support the ministry, that is what the Bible says.

"Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things."  (Gal 6:6, KJV)

And when you have planted your seed, don’t use negative confessions to rupture the process. Don’t say things like, “We have been giving, nothing has been happening!” Rather say, something like, “My seed is in the ground and my harvest comes speedily!”

    7. Forgive all and stay out of strife
I keep saying this one. Stay out of strife and bitterness. Forgive all. You don't need some extra baggage, you are dealing with enough already. Nothing is wasted, not even the money you spend on ice-cream and gifts. You reap WHAT you sow, not WHERE you sow. So you can sow in Sister Sube and reap in Sister Sade!

Whatever he or she did, let go and let God. Do not hinder your blessing in any way. Husband and wife, forgive quickly, in fact, practice advance forgiveness. Clean up your inner man, make your receptacle ready for all that God has for you!

" But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. "  (Mar 11:26, KJV)

I pray that God will give you more understanding.
