Who ought to be wiser, the guy or the lady?

  •  This is a serious question you need to ponder on.

There are many ladies who had once given their hearts out and they have been so disappointed! I have a lot of sympathy for ladies because they always seem to be on the receiving end.

Yes, guys can be hurt too, they can be cheated too, they can be duped too, but I don’t think they have as much to deal with in the event of a break up.

A man is logical and he finds it easier to move on, sometimes with real pain though. A lady is not a logical being, she is a relationship being, and when she is in a relationship, she gives her all.

Have you ever noticed when men lose their wives? After two or three years, they simply re-marry. It is not as if it is wrong, but in comparison with a lady who loses her husband, she would often say, no more marriage because of her perspective to marriage!

Seventy five percent of the time, it is the ladies that would often call me! Some of them would cry on the phone and you could see they have been hurt. I would then minister God’s healing to them.

Think about it, in the event of a jeru trap leading to pregnancy, who gets pregnant, the guy or the lady? If they decide to go for abortion, (which is wrong, of course), whose body goes under the surgeon’s scalpel? In the event of complication during abortion, who loses her womb, the guy or the lady? In the event she carries the pregnancy to full term, who bears the stigma of unwanted pregnancy, the guy or the lady?

Who goes through the trimesters with body adjustments that are often not palatable? The guy or the lady? Who goes through morning sickness, throwing up and feeling nauseated for weeks? The guy or the lady? In the event of childbirth, who goes through the pain and trauma of labour, the guy or the lady? When the child arrives, who is likely to miss school, who breastfeeds and who is more concerned about the child, the guy or the lady?

So, who ought to be wiser? The guy or the lady? But who seems to be unwise or more aptly put, stupid, it is still the lady!

So ladies, wake up and wise up! It is time to protect yourself! It is time to allow God in your life. Stop pushing yourself on a man because you think there might not be anybody else! God has a plan for you, and that plan is beautiful, if you allow God to lead you!

Stop being generous with your body because you are looking for love. Listen to me, you can never find love like that! True love will never demand for your body in Jeru trap in order to satisfy his own lust!

Guys, if you are a child of God, then zip up! That is how to be a man. That is the mark of responsibility. That is when we know who the men are and who the boys are! Your ability to wait is what defines your maturity! It is not about your biceps, it is about your heart!

Esau could not wait, so he lost it. He must have porridge immediately, and he lost his inheritance to Jacob who owned the Porridge but decided to wait! The scripture then likened him to a fornicator, because they have the same problem, they could not wait!

Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. (Hebrews 12:16 KJV)

Message translation says you shouldn’t throw away a life-long gift in order to satisfy a short-term appetite!

Why would God put this intense sexual feeling inside me and then tell me to wait? Doesn’t God understand how I feel? God understands! But he wants you to learn to wait. Why, because after marriage, you will still need to wait in some instances. What happens, for example, if your wife goes for a study leave after marriage outside the country? You are meant to wait, not pounce on the house girl or the orange seller! But if you have trained yourself not to wait, there will be disaster!

Married men who are in adulterous relationships and not wise, so says the scriptures! I will conclude with that this morning

Adultery is a brainless act, soul–destroying, self–destructive; (Proverbs 6:32 Message)

So what am I supposed to do? Simply go back to God and start over. God does not condemn you, He only wants your repentance and when you do that genuinely, I want you to know that you serve a God that can restore all you have lost and make you to forget the shame of your youth!

May God grant you more understanding!
