Nurturing: ABC Of Knowing True Love Part 14

  • Before I go on, let me quickly mention the importance of confession of God’s word in the realization of your desires. Without confession, the faith process is not complete. I am therefore making available to us all the confession that Pastor Sophia and I take everyday, Check HERE to take a look. Try as much as you can to confess these words everyday if you haven’t started already. God bless you.
    N - Nurturing
Nurturing simply means “the process of caring for and encouraging the growth or development of someone or something.”
It is often used in the scripture in respect of raising children.

    Eph 6:4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the NURTURE and admonition of the Lord.

It is also used in respect of the shepherd nurturing the church of God
    1Pe 5:2
    Tend (NURTURE, guard, guide, and fold) the flock of God that is [your responsibility], not by coercion or constraint, but willingly; not dishonorably motivated by the advantages and profits [belonging to the office], but eagerly and cheerfully;
In relationship and marriage, true love will include genuine nurturing of each other.

You would want each other to grow.

When I fell in love back then at the campus, I wanted her to grow as much as I was growing.

I wanted her to read all the books I was reading.

I was interested in her growth.

Today, when my wife listens to a message and she gets blessed, she would not rest until I listened as well.

She keeps reminding me to listen as well. She is interested in my growth as well.
This desire to nurture one another, which often comes as a result of setting your priorities right is a sign of true love indeed.
Is the guy or lady in that relationship there for only what he can get out if it?

Is she interested in genuine growth and advancement or just interested in your pocket?

These are pertinent questions whose answers will give you an inkling to the truism of true love or its falsehood and pretension.

Part of nurturing is waiting till wedding before getting sexually involved.

You know that compromise would end up bringing guilt and sadness, feelings of offending God and often accompanied by depression, so you really don't want all that stress for him or her, and so you decide to pay the price of waiting.
Nurturing one another is refusal to compromise.

Your consistency in the place of prayer is part of nurturing your destinies.

Your being a stickler to the word is part of nurturing.

Your being led by the Holy Spirit is part of nurturing.

Your quick forgiving of each other is part of nurturing. Click To Tweet

Your resolve never to hurt each other is part of nurturing.

Your commitment never to cheat on each other is part of nurturing your marriage.

Your sacrifice in making yourself available to speak her love language when it is not convenient is part of nurturing.
Your decision to submit to him as the head when it is not convenient is part of nurturing him.

Spending time with each other in the midst of no time is part of nurturing each other.
When both of you can stay off communication for weeks because of incessant quarrels, you are not nurturing each other and you are not nurturing your relationship.

A courtship that lacks nourishment will be too tired and weary to walk down the aisle.

Nurturing is not sexual as singles. In fact you weaken yourselves when you do that.

Whereas in marriage, part of nurturing is constant sexual experiences with each other.

Sleeping with one another is different from making love. Click To Tweet

    Decide to nurture your relationship.

    Decide to nurture your marriage.

May God grant you the strength to do so.
    Be blessed!
