Open-Minded: ABC Of Knowing True Love Part 15

  • O - Open-Minded
When you are closed up, everything around you closes up as well.
A relationship or marriage where both parties are not open minded is already doomed for imminent collapse.
In the world of a closed up couple, assumptions are the rulers.
The problem with that is that assumption is the lowest form of knowledge.
The devil thrives on secrecy and isolation.
This is why the first thing the devil does when he wants to destroy a man is to first of all isolate him. Click to Tweet
Once he is isolated from all that could be of help, he becomes an easy target.
The guy or lady simply fights and quarrels with everybody that could help.
So, when help is needed, arrogance, ignorance and pride keeps him away from seeking help, mostly until it is too late.
Whatever spirit seeks to isolate you from the company of believers, from authority figures and from those that could help is seeking your destruction; may such spirits lose their powers over you in Jesus name.

Before sliding that ring into her hands, how much of her do you know?
“Oh, I will learn to talk after our wedding!”
Well, I doubt if that would be the case!
A successful relationship or marriage will thrive on constant and healthy communication.
Playing hide and seek in a relationship hides you eventually from a good marriage. Click to Tweet
In the beginning, they were naked and not ashamed.
They were open to each other.
    There is nothing to hide.
When you wait for him or her to discover things about you, you are eroding trust gradually.
The thought pattern would be that you have so many other things you are hiding.
Let’s take it to the next level.
Adultery and cheating is empowered on the platform of secrecy and falsehood.
You have to have the capacity to hide, lie and close up.
I am not saying everybody who is closed up is adulterous, but I am saying such attribute is a tarmac upon which adultery can easily land!
In a good relationship, try and be open as much as you can.
Stumbling on grey areas of your life in unexpected discoveries will bring doubt and mistrust, which is a shaky foundation for any marriage.
Be open minded with each other.
In marriage, talk about anything and everything,
Don’t hide vital information about finances, properties and others in marriage!
There is nothing hidden that will not come to light.
By the time that which is hidden is coming to light, it is coming with a heavy price!
Let you marriage and home be punctuated with openness and freedom in God.
It will bring an enabling environment for easily crushing affairs that might want to rear their heads.
If anybody mistakenly winks at me, I tell my wife and that kills the winking outrightly!
"How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man."  (Jer 31:22, KJV)
Your wife is your helper and can protect you in this area, only when you are open minded with her!
It is a mark of true love.

As a single, if you have had to keep discovering all kinds of things about him or her, it is a sign that he or she is not sincere with you and you might need to have that area trashed before proceeding into a closed up marriage.
I pray that God will grant more understanding
