Joy Will Always Come After The Weeping

  • Psalms 30:5 (KJV)
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Are you going through challenging issues right now?
Are you on the verge of giving up?
Are you about to throw in the towel?
Do you feel like letting go?
Have you been hurt or experiencing one?
Then the above scripture is for you.
    The latter part says
    Psalms 30:5b (KJV)
...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
There are two words I want us to consider this morning
    1. May
    2. Endure
The word "may," can be used conditionally, connotes uncertainty, doubts, and the likes.
I want you to know that weeping may, and it may not.
The fact that your uncle suffered from it doesn't mean you will.
With the help of God, you don't necessarily have to go through what others have gone through.
Don't position your mind for "weeping".
It may, and it may not.
That situation is not sure whether to stay or not. It depends on your disposition towards it.
The second word there is endure.
Even if the weeping is there, you should know that it is enduring, not enjoying the night season.
One scripture that readily comes to heart is " And it came to pass..."
That weeping will come to pass.
It has not come to stay, that is why it is enduring the moment.
It is a passing phase, not a parking space!
You should be encouraged and never loose hope, because something tangible is coming your is called Joy!
    Joy comes in the morning.
No matter how long the night may seem, Joy is coming.
Tell yourself Joy comes in the morning.
That is why you must not lose your joy before it actually appears.
You must envision it and superimpose it over that unpleasant situation.
    Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
It was the Joy set before him that made him remain on the cross!
It was the Joy set before him that made him pray for the soldiers and others.
It was the Joy set before him that made him breathe his last.
And that same joy ensured He resurrected!
The Joy ahead of you must be greater than what you might be going through.
No matter what, don't lose your Joy, because therein lies your strength.
Good morning and have a joyful day ahead!
