How To Get Rid Of Negative Thoughts!

Jesus said " Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" [Matthew 12:34], therefore anything you do not want in your life must not be entertained as thoughts in your mind!
So how do you cast down wrong thoughts and stop those negative thoughts from becoming Words?
YOU USE YOUR MOUTH!
You cast wrongs thoughts down by speaking God's Word. Start confessing the Word of God concerning every situation in your life. Keep confessing the Word until your mind stops thinking negative thoughts. Your life depends on it.
Satan is persistent; therefore, you must be more persistent in confessing God's Word! Don't give up on your effort to get control over your thoughts.
Someone once asked me, "Can the devil read my mind?"
No, he cannot. All he can do is suggest things for you to think, but he can't make you think them.
If you choose to think his thoughts, then he hopes that those thoughts will lodge in your mind. If they lodge in your mind, they will eventually drop down into your heart, and what's in your heart will come out of your mouth. That's what Satan is trying to get you to do. . . speak those negative thoughts.
As long as it's just a thought, then it can be cast down.
"Am I in sin if I think something negative?" No, not necessarily.
However, if you dwell on it and let it drop down into your spirit, then you will begin looking for a way to do what formally was just a thought.
You may have had a thought such as - I will look at that pornographic magazine. You can cast that thought down. But if you don't cast it down and it drops down into your spirit, then you will start sneaking around and looking for a way to fulfill that thought.
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8
Why do we need to meditate the Word day and night? Because, once again, Satan is persistent. He doesn't go on vacation like you do. He is willing to wait for just a small crack in the wall.
The moment that small crack occurs,he will start in on you with negative thoughts. He will talk to you all day long. He wants his voice to be the last voice you hear when you close your eyes at night.
So you've got to be just as persistent as he is. Keep casting down every negative thought. You can't do it only when you get inspired, but do it all the time. Once again, your very life depends on it.
Give no room to the devil in your mind!
