TOPIC: THE PRINCIPLES OF INCREASE.
- TITHE (10%):
Tithing is essential for supernatural abundance. It achieves numerous and mysterious purposes for God.
WHY DID GOD ESTABLISH THE TITHE?
- For people to show gratitude to him (Deut 26:1-3).
- For people to remember where God lifted them from (Deut 26:4-6).
- As a prayer of thanksgiving.
- To enjoy the remaining ninety percent knowing that you have given God his own (Deut 26:11).
- To pay pastors (Levite) and keep them working in the house of God (Deut 26:12).
- To care for the needy and the helpless (Deut 26:13).
-As money set apart from all secular and worldly purpose (Deut 26:14).
- To have a legal basis to bless His people (Deut 26:15)
- As a test of our obedience (Deut 26:16-17).
- To create a particular and unusual group of prosperous and blessed people on the earth (Deut 26:18-19).
EXCUSES OF NON-TITHERS
1. I earn too little to pay tithes (Matt 25:24-25).
2. I earn too much to pay tithes (1 chr 29:14).
3. I am not a fool,I will never pay tithe (Phil 4:8).
4. My hard earned money is not being properly used so I will not pay tithe (Psa 131:1).
5. The pastors are using our money to buy cars and houses for themselves so I will not pay tithe to finance their extravagant lifestyle (John 12:3-6).
6. All pastors are con men and thieves (Isa 5:20).
7. Ten percent is too much to give God (Gal 6:7).
8. I am broke, so I cannot pay tithe (Deut 26:14).
9. I am building a house so I cannot pay my tithe (Haggi 1:2-6).
10. I have a lot of debts so I cannot pay tithe.
11. I am a student so I cannot pay tithe (Pr 3:9).
12. I am unemployed so I cannot pay tithe (Luke 16:10).
13. I give my money to help the poor and to do other humanitarian projects (Matt 23:23).
14. I have never paid tithe and I do not see any curse in my life.
15. When I pay my tithe, I do not see any financial improvements (Mal 3:14).
HOW DOES GOD MAKE PEOPLE RICH?
1. He gives them power to get wealth (Gen 8:22).
2. He adds all things to their lives (Matt 6:33).
3. He gives them grace that brings sufficiency (II Cor 9:8).
4. He breaks the curse of poverty (Gal 3:13).
5. He gives them the blessings of Abraham (Gen 13:2, Gal 3:14).
6. He gives people rain which brings increase ( Zech 10:11).
7. He gives grace to give.
8. He gives the spirit of wisdom (II Chr 1:12).
9. He gives particular talents and skills (Ex 31:3).
10. He makes you diligent (Pr 10:4, 21:5, 13:4).
When you sow your seed, you water your seed with positive confessions from your mouth.
