His mother is too involved in our relationship

I met this handsome young man and we've been engaged for the past two years. Before we met he had lost his dad and this was about seven years ago, so this made him very close to his mum especially as the first son. This was at first helping the relationship but recently it has began to affect the relationship to an extent that he can't take some decisions without notifying or getting his mum's approval. This makes our relationship in total of his mother and I'm really getting frustrated at this stage, please advise me.

Dont be frustrated. Try to be more empathetic with him. He has grown to trust and confide in his mum. Weaning him off this, is a gradual process.

However, if you both discuss and agree over something, then due to his mum's influence he changes it without your knowledge or input, then you seriously need to register your displeasure.

Let him know how important it is for him to lean more to you than his mum, as this is how it will be in marriage.
