  It took me almost an hour to get him talking. He simply said he doesn't want to go to school.
  I later found out he's being bullied in school constantly. This has affected his esteem already.
  Aside taking it up with the school, what else can I do?

  Take it up with the school to ensure the students involved are punished and told to desist form it.

  Talk to him, inspire him, motivate him, give him confidence and tell him how to deal with bullies.

  Pray for him.
