  My 16 year old son wants to drive my car at all costs.
  On several occasions, he has asked for the keys, just to drive round town and feel good.
  I kept telling him he isn't licensed to drive yet, because he is not 18 years old.
  He is beginning to see me as a wicked dad who doesn't want him to enjoy life.
  But why the rush, when he'll eventually drive and get tired of driving?

  Its the teenage feeling. Teach him to exercise self control and discipline to things and until he proves himself in this thing dont release the car to him. Moreover, he isnt of age yet so dont break the law.
