Arsenal Dump Man. U out of FA Cup

    For the first time in  12  years, Arsenal have won at Old Tradford as they sent Manchester United packing from this seasons FA Cup and will now meet Bradford or Reading in the semi-final.

     

    Arsenal’s man of the match, Danny Welbeck who was deemed surplus to requirement at Manchester United upon the arrival of coach Van Gaal at the beginning of the season returned to his old club and grabbed the winning goal in the 61st minute.

     

    Defender Nacho Monreal drew first blood in the first half by connecting a through pass after a dazzling run by in form Chamberlain but captain Wayne Rooney soon leveled with a header from Di Maria’s Cross.

     

    Arsenal have a good chance of defending their FA Cup triumph as they will avoid a clash with Liverpool in the semi-final as Liverpool will play Blackburn to determine the opponents for Aston Villa.
