    She is popularly known as Pastor Bimbo Odukoya and fondly called “Pastor Bims.” She was born September 12, 1960 to the family of Mr & Mrs Segun-Williams.

     

    Pastor Bimbo won all hearts by opening hers to them. She was committed to excellence.

     

    She got born again at Age 13 while watching one of Billy Graham's crusade on television and from then, she became completely sold out to God.

     

    A national and International Conference speaker sought-after home and abroad. She ministered in many University and Polytechnic Campuses until she passed on to glory.

     

    Her primary and secondary school education were at St Mary’s private school and secondary school education at Holy Child College, Lagos respectively.

     

    Her ‘A’ levels was at Federal Government College Ijanikin and she schooled at the University of Ibadan for her University education where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Archaeology.

     

    She worked as a curator in the Cultural Department of National Arts Theatre, Lagos under the NYSC Scheme.

     

    She was retained as a permanent staff of the same place in the Centre of Black Arts and Culture where she worked for seven years.

    In 1979, she met Pastor Taiwo at the University of Ibadan (U.I). They courted for five years.

     

    In 1984, they got married at Yaba Baptist Church, Lagos.

     

    Pastor Bimbo and her husband, Pastor Taiwo were part of the fellowship that started Christ Chapel International Churches led by Pastor Tunde Joda and Bishop Mike Okonkwo (then Dr. Mike Okonkwo).

     

    In 1992, She became a full time Pastor when Pastor Taiwo founded The Fountain of Life Church. They were ordained by Bishop Mike Okonkwo.

     

    She learnt to prioritze her role as a wife, mother, minister and producer of Single and Married (which was initially the burden of her husband)

     

    She was a dedicated prayer warrior, a passionate worshipper, a cheerful, boisterous and extraordinary giver. There was no where too far for her to go for the sake of the gospel.

     

    She never went on any ministration without the permission of her husband. She always asked for her husband's blessings, she was her husband's number 1 cheerleader and she never misses out in acknowledging her husband in every message, any and every where she was present. In one of her messages, she revealed that she discovered her purpose while supporting her husband's vision after they got married.With her husband's approval, she preached in different churches irrespective of the denomination. She was an epitome of what she taught.

     

    Anytime she travelled, she always created time to speak with her husband and her children one after the other. According to Pastor Jimi (her only son), she preached the sermon to her children first before going for ministrations.

     

    She was the President of Single & Married ministry that produced the popular relationship program titled “Single & Married”.

     

    She was the Chairperson of Discovery for Women ministry dedicated to educating woman in their vast roles as mothers, wives and leaders. Discovery for women rallies held quarterly by this ministry is always attended by over 5000 women.

     

    She was a prolific writer, author and columnist who wrote in many International and National newspapers and Magazines.

     

    In 2004, she was chosen by Samsung (official sponsors of the 2004 Olympic games) to represent Nigeria in carrying the Olympic Torch in Athens, Greece at the 2004 Olympic games.

     

    Her ministration was not limited to churches alone, she also preached to commercial sex workers, prisons, drug addicts as well as homeless and abandoned children etc.

     

    She boarded the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 from Abuja to Portharcourt which crashed on landing in PortHarcourt on 10th December 2005. She was still alive for six hours after which she passed on 11th December 2005 from the injuries sustained. Pastor Bimbo was to Preach in PortHarcourt if not for the plane crash.

    Awards: Pastor Bimbo won over sixty awards in her life time including: TREM (The Redeemed Evangelical Mission) Award (1998), The Outstanding Young Persons Of Nigeria Award (2000) presented by the Junior Chambers International, Merit Award presented to Pastor Bimbo Odukoya (Single & Married) by NTA 2 Channel 5 as the Best Independent producer (2001),Distinguished Alumni Award (2001) presented by The Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Ibadan for her outstanding achievement in religion, Paragon of Sexual Purity Award (2003) presented by Paragons of Virtue International,Patriotic Achiever’s Award (2004) by Franolly Incorporated,African Virtuous and Entrepreneurial Women Merit Award (2005) presented by African Biographical Network, Woman of the Year Post Humos Award (2005).

    Outstanding Attributes: A life completely sold out to God, Unwavering commitment to excellence, compulsive giving to God and the people.

    Supporting Attributes: Passion, ability to prioritize her roles as a woman, respect for her husband, focus etc.

    This is a powerful one! Pastor Bimbo of blessed memory was a great inspiration to KHC as a ministry! Meeting her in the year 1998 in Olabisi Onabanjo University was an experience that would never be forgotten. Debola, good job here.

    Thank you sir, Wow! That's great o! I love her with all the fire in my bones. I have to still remind myself she is with the Lord till date. She feels so alive. Bless God sir, it was on her page i came across KHC and i'm just so glad relationship ministry did not end with her passing on but was moved to a greater height. Thank God for you n Pst Sophia who have availed yourselves to continue the race... Pst Bims is truly a legend
