    Today on chapter 22!

Well, the most popular verse of that chapter in Christiandom would be the last verse. Talking about how diligence takes you far in life

But the major thing that stands out for me is the emphasis on training a child

And removing foolishness from his mind with discipline and punishment

My favorite verse of this chapter is verse 6

Train up a child in the way he should go. And when he's old he would not depart from it

Proverbs 22:6 Point your kids in the right direction - when they're old they won't be lost.
Proverbs 22:7 The poor are always ruled over by the rich, so don't borrow and put yourself under their power.
Proverbs 22:8 Whoever sows sin reaps weeds, and bullying anger sputters into nothing.

Still there is an emphasis on sowing and reaping....

Prov 22:12 from the ERV is an interesting read “The Lord watches over true knowledge, and he opposes those who try to deceive others.”

There's a call to stick to contentment in verse 7.

No wonder they fail always in their schemes. It's a warning to those who hold false doctrines over people

Proverbs 22:13 The loafer says, "There's a lion on the loose! If I go out I'll be eaten alive!"
Verse 13.... Anyone who wants to succeed in life must take risk and be ready to face the lion

Proverbs 22:10 Kick out the troublemakers and things will quiet down; you need a break from bickering and griping!

Nor give them space o. Throw way them so that we can enjoy a more consecrated and concentrated life

Proverbs 22:11 God loves the pure-hearted and well-spoken; good leaders also delight in their friendship.

It pays to be plain and straightforward no dicey character is required for a better friendship

It warns against a loose mouth. It's profiting to have our younger guided and guarded.

Proverbs 22:16 Exploit the poor or glad-hand the rich - whichever, you'll end up the poorer for it. The Thirty Precepts of the Sages Don't Move Back the Boundary Lines

ESV:Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.

NIV:One who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and one who gives gifts to the rich—both come to poverty.

AMP:He who oppresses the poor to get gain for himself and he who gives to the rich—both will surely come to want.

Proverbs 22:22 Don't walk on the poor just because they're poor, and don't use your position to crush the weak,
Proverbs 22:23 Because God will come to their defense; the life you took, he'll take from you and give back to them.
Proverbs 22:24 Don't hang out with angry people; don't keep company with hotheads.
Proverbs 22:25 Bad temper is contagious - don't get infected.
Proverbs 22:27 The time will come when you have to pay up; you'll be left with nothing but the shirt on your back.

Anger is contagious ooooo. You can get angry because your friend is angry ooo.
