Step Over That Fear!

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Tim. 1:7)

The greatest threat to our Faith walk as believers is fear!

It is fear that causes you to settle for far less than what God has in mind for your life. The fear of failure is probably the greatest single obstacle a believer has to overcome.

Desire and passion are some of the greatest motivators for getting results. If you are passionate about something, you won’t let anything stand between you and it.

But then, the greatest obstacle to your success and the tactic Satan uses the most to destroy your passion is the fear of failure.

The words that are the greatest enemy to your faith are found in Genesis 3:10.

God had created Adam in His likeness. God expected him to live by faith. But Adam committed high treason against God which led to the fall, and after this incident that radically altered man's destiny, Adam spoke these words when God asked Adam where he was:

“. . . I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” (Gen. 3:10)

Notice these three words – I was afraid.

Those three words are the greatest enemy to your faith. Fear is the opposite of faith and fear will rob you of God’s best. God did not give you the spirit of fear or timidity.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
    (2 Tim. 1:7)

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” (2 Tim. 1:7 AMP)

It is fear that causes you to settle for far less than what God has in mind for your life. The fear of failure is probably the greatest single obstacle a believer has to overcome.

Everyone has experienced failure in some way or another. Many people never recover from the experience of it. If you have ever failed at anything, then Satan would love to use that as an obstacle or a barrier in your life so that you never have confidence to step out again.

But don’t let him do that. Begin to put your faith in operation. If Satan cannot deceive you by fear then he cannot defeat you. Glory!

I like you to make this you confession through out today:

"God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind.”

It's a resoundingly blessed day for you!
