CELEBRITY MARRIAGES – LESSONS TO LEARN
Will Smith & Jada Pinkett
They met in 1990 when Jada Pinkett auditioned to play Smith’s girlfriend on his sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She didn’t get the part, but she got the actor – Will Smith. They started a relationship and over time it blossomed.
Their glamorous wedding at the Cloisters near Baltimore was the subject of celebrity gossip.
They are happily married with two children (Smith also has a son from a previous marriage).
LESSON TO LEARN
Recently in an interview with Howard Stern on the Howard Stern Show at SiriusXM Studios, Jada empasize on one of the basic foundations that has held their marriage together – Trust when she was asked about her open marriage with Will. In her emphasis, she said:
“You gotta trust who you’re with, and at the end of the day, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher,” “I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.”
“I trust that the man that Will is is a man of integrity. He’s got all the freedom in the world, and as long as Will can look at himself in the mirror and be OK, I’m good,”
