Don't Give Up! Pay-Day Is Around The Corner!

Galatians 6:9 AMP:
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
Charles Spurgeon once said, "With great perseverance even the snail made the ark."
The other animals, not to mention Noah, were probably ready to give up on him. Can't you just see them all hanging over the rail of the ark, shouting, "Hurry up, slowpoke! It's about to rain. Hurry up and get on board so we can shut the door." They were probably impatient, but the snail just kept crawling.
And with great perseverance, the snail made it!
What about you? Are you determined to persevere in what God has called you to do? When an opportunity comes your way, are you so willing to persevere that you'll crawl inch by inch, if you have to, in order to make your dream a reality?
If you are, you can count on the Holy Spirit to supply heaven's power to make certain it will come to pass in your life.
One time I read about a tree called the Chinese Bamboo. Apparently, when you first plant the seed of a Chinese Bamboo tree, you must water and fertilize that seed every day without fail for the first four years. (Yes, four years!) If you don't, it won't grow.
And for the first four years, even if you're watching it and feeding it every day, the growth of the tree is so minimal that it looks as if nothing is happening.
However, during the fifth year that tree grows up to 90 feet!
Most times in our lives we want the fifth year results without the four year application. We want the growth without persevering through the everyday watering and feeding of the first four years.
God intends for your faith life to work. But it isn't going to work overnight. The 90 foot growth of the Chinese Bamboo tree doesn't happen during the first year. It takes four years of persistent, daily watering and fertilizing to see the plant SUDDENLY shoot up to 90 feet.
Notice that: FOUR YEARS OF WORK AND THEN "SUDDENLY"
We all love it when "suddenly" happens. We love to see spectacular results in short periods of time. But are we willing to wait? Are we willing to persevere during the first four years? Remember the snail?
God has given you those dreams for a reason. He intends to make them come to pass in your life. Are you willing to do the daily watering and fertilizing? Are you willing to persevere, stand strong in Faith and not quit? If you won't quit, God will make it happen!
Hebrews 6:9-12 :
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
So stay focused ! Your pay-day is around the corner!
