How To Turn Off The Heat In Your Marriage

Heat talks about any thing that has to do with hot arguement, misunderstandings, quarrels, or any of such things among couples.

Often it results in lack of communication, temper tantrums and unfriendly gestures. It is that time that you feel like your spouse does not understand you.

It is like when your spouse brings out the worst in you. When your spouse does not see reason in what you are doing or you do not see the wisdom in what he is doing.

It is at that time when you feel like crying and shouting at the same time. It is the time when your spouse thinks you have done something stupid. When in actual fact it is he /she who refuses to see the issue from your view point.

He/she is a talker while you are not. He gives all his logical reasons while you are not able to make any concrete arguments or put your thoughts together in words.

He/ she is too impatient to wait for you. The silence brings more grounds for more quarrel. The quarrels breeds more room for hatred and that gives more room for the devil. This makes you feel unloved and the atmosphere of the house is tense.

When this happens, no matter your temperament you can do this:

1. When there is hot argument between couples and you feel like both of you are right, you can say a quick prayer. Invite the Lord into the crisis.

2. When there is an argument, you can lovingly explain to your spouse what happened. In that case, the one that does not talk much, must ask the Holy Spirit for utterance in explaining intelligently.

3. The more playful person should look for a way to playfully explain the situation in such a way that the spouse would understand.

4. The hot choleric temperament should try and see the situation from another view point. He /she should not always think that he /she is always right.

5. Both parties should always seek at all times to protect each other. Of what use is their spending the rest of the day fighting. Calm down and ask the other person what happened.
