I Don't Want This Delay In My Life

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV)
There are several people out there, children of God experiencing one form of delay or the other. There are singles whose issues have to do with the fact that no suitors are showing up. There are those who have suitors showing up, but never materializing into marriage.
There are also people who have brought one type of delay or the other on themselves because of outright disobedience or some form of disconnection from God.
But what about those who have stayed faithful to God and yet there is delay?
Let’s try and break down the above scriptures.
1. The timing of God
For the vision is yet for an appointed time…
The truth is that there is a timetable of God for your life. This timetable does not necessarily mean that it has to be long before it is done. It is just for you to have that consciousness that as a child of God, there is something you should be working with.
There is a timing of God for your life and no devil can stop it. Only one person can alter God’s timing for your life: you! You see, your cooperation, your sensitivity to God’s Spirit, your prompt obedience, all make this timing to be perfectly aligned.
For example, you meet a certain man. You are a single lady. Everything seems perfect. But there is this unexplainable absence of the peace of God. You could tell there is no peace within you. Well, because everything looks great in the physical, he is handsome, good job, good phonetics, good exposure, sounds spiritual etc, you ignore the absence of peace and you go ahead.
Then after a while, you discover some grim things about him, and the love you have for him suddenly disappeared as fast as they have come, but you see, it has been one year of dancing around a wrong person!
At such times, the real person is not likely to show up because God will not want you to see two people at the same time! So you see, the more you dance around the wrong person trying to make things work, the more you kind of keep the real thing from happening!
You cannot use someone, to “fill in the gap or space” while you are waiting for the real person to show up. It doesn’t work like that! That is like eating your cake and trying to have it. Things don’t work together like that in the Spirit realm.
When it comes to God, he requires you to trust Him with all your heart, not half-heatedly.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 KJV)
In trying to wait for God’s timing, you don’t fill those times with “activities” Waiting time is not a “wasting” time! It is not supposed to be a boring time. It is important to seek God and to find out what He would have you learn in those times!
God is not an author of confusion. Every event in your life as a child of God will translate into a beautiful symphony at the end of the day, if you cooperate with God.
The purpose of God transcends human expectations. There is a purpose of God for your life. God will not throw away that purpose by a marriage with a wrong person. God will not allow a whole ministry to be buried in the sitting room of a wrong man.
The vision is for an appointed time, so it becomes important to cooperate with God’s vision in your life in order to step into His plan for your life in relationships and marriage. One of the ways to eliminate delays is to locate God’s purpose for your life and start to prepare for it!

God has a purpose for my life. I will cooperate with that purpose

Lord, show me what I need to know right now in my life

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. (Proverbs 3:5 Message)
