Is Peace Of Mind Enough?

Bro John has prayed and fasted.

He has peace of mind about her.

The butterflies in his belly are not only flapping their wings, their antennas have also picked up strong signals towards this beautiful damsel.

The peace he has about her is 100% and he is about to ask her out.

Jide on the other hand heard God's call and is about to jet out. He has printed fliers and taken several billboards.

Hold on sirs, let me show you something.

FIRST SCENARIO:
Mark 1:10-13 KJV
And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

Here, Jesus was called to ministry in the open.

He had always known.

He had always had peace about the fathers business, which was why he had been rehearsing since age 12.

But after baptism, did you see what happened next?

He was driven into the wilderness…that was where he got the power to walk in the supernatural.

It’s not enough to be called in the open; it’s not enough to have peace about him/her. You need some wilderness experience sir!

Some gates and doors will ask you: who is this king of glory you are talking about?

The issue is, you may be ready to step out, but your audience may not be ready.

You may have received her, but she is still seeing men as trees.

Moses knew he was a deliverer; he had peace about his assignment. He was ready to deliver the Israelites, but God was still working on them…he needed the wilderness experience to know the exact words to tell Pharaoh.

SECOND SCENARIO:
Gal 1:15-18 KJV
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

Here is Paul, having being sure of his call.

He didn’t start out with grabbing the microphone. He didn’t immediately gather people and started “dishing out rhema.”

Read what he did very well.

I’m not saying you should wait three years before toasting that babe o, but I know timing is very important.

Ok, let’s come home a little…

THIRD SCENARIO:
Dated 1996, somewhere in south-western Nigeria!

From the first day he saw her, brother knew Sister would be his wife.

He heard God.

He had peace of mind.

There were several confirmations.

Over 40 dreams and visions!

But for a period of nine months, he didn’t say anything.
God was working on her.

Had he proposed earlier than March 1997, he would have received a combination of nails and spikes; the type that only the balm of Gilead can heal.

What I’m I saying in essence?

I know you have peace of mind about that girl!

I know you are convinced about that business deal!

I know you have confirmed his call upon your life!

But can you wait some more?

Tarry some more in his presence.

There are some things He needs to show you about your future.

Don’t be faster than God in 2019!

If you wait on God, I can assure you, it is as good as done, in His own time!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I am patient. I cooperate with God's timing for my life.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, help me not to run faster than you in 2019.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Is God also ready, or I'm the only one who is ready?

ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY
Pray some more before you venture out.
