It is unfortunate that many Christian singles have fallen victim of the lies of the enemy.
Some people are just of the opinion that they can never find the perfect person for them...

'Marriage is to be endured till Jesus comes and not to be enjoyed'!
Now fear is the ultimate consequence of all these ideologies. You see whatever does not have its root in the word of God should be discarded. It does not matter how many people buy it, how many people are even experiencing it or how social media paints it to be.
The Bible in Isaiah asked 'whose report will you believe'? You had better believe the report of the Lord!
The devil is not very smart, he is only just experienced. And contrary to the popular saying: experience is not the best teacher, the Holy Spirit is.
So the devil knows that by creating fear in your heart, you will not be able to pray, speak in tongues, worship God, give, serve or even rejoice before the rejoicing. Instead you will be busy angry at God!
He just wants you depressed and sad over what is already yours in Christ Jesus. Can you imagine?
Sometimes it's not about any curse but then God being a just God will not just step into your situation if you don't invite Him.
Fear leads to depression. For instance if as a lady you don't smile, always paranoid, angry at everybody because you think you are the only one having problems, even if God is leading a brother to you, the gentleman will just say 'Father I think there's something wrong here o.
How on earth will I approach her without receiving a slap'? Lol.
Well it is funny but also not funny. But sometimes we are our own prophets.
Likewise a brother too refusing to look good or find something to do because he thinks he has problems and he is angry at God.
2nd Timothy 1:7 (NIV) says
For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self discipline.
Power here is a representation of Dunamis which is the inherent power in us. Speaking in tongues is the one gift of the Holy Spirit that you can use at will: it converts the Dunamis (potential energy) into Kratos (kinetic energy).
Drive the devil nuts with it... Let him know he made a mistake thinking he can even have access to your mind.
Rehearse your wedding dance even before the D-day. Let heaven be so impressed with you that they have no choice but to orchestrate things to happen.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
The love is your love walk that is keeping God's commandments. Don't think you can mix compromise with the will of God... Ko le werk!
Finally self discipline is the path you tread while waiting. Develop yourself, deal with those things that easily beset you, have intimacy with God, serve in His house with a sincere heart, be a resourceful person, an asset not a liability so that when the marriage eventually comes, you are ready!

Lord have mercy on me in areas where I have given the devil a foothold over my thought patterns.
It is only the joy of the Lord that can make you rejoice in spite of any situation and you cannot have access to it if you don't first of all have the joy of salvation.
Give your life to Christ to enjoy the joy of salvation.
