Aimee Semple Macpherson (A woman of Destiny)

Born October 9, 1890 near Salford, Ontario, Canada to James Morgan and Mildred “Minnie” Kenedy.

Her father was 50 years when he married her mother who was only 15years old.

Prior to the marriage, her mother was an orphan who had been orphan was a fervent labourer with the Salvation Army.

She felt the call to ministry and evangelized day and night in cities throughout Ontario until she read in the paper one day about the Kennedy's need for a live-in nurse to care for the ailing Mrs. Kennedy. She accepted the position and set ministry aside.

After Mrs. Kennedy died, Minnie remained in the Kennedy home. Not long after, Mr Kennedy asked her to marry him which she agreed.

The day after their marriage, Minnie prayed to God to forgive her for not answering the call and requested that God would give her a baby girl who would do all and more that she could not do for the Lord especially in preaching the word.

The Lord granted this request and soon after Minnie was pregnant with a female child.

    ...to be continued.
