My Ex is now married and even with a child. I am still single. He insists he still wants to be a close friend and still tells me all kinds of unbelievable things. How should I handle this? He calls me everyday.

Its simple. Do not pick his call anymore. A woman's ear gate should be guarded with all diligence as this leads to her heart. Guard your ears and your heart woud be safe from him. I repeat do not pick his call and delate his text messages. By knowledge you will be delivered

Kindly politely tell him off or you call his wife and report him if he's not getting it. He's not worth it. He has moved on. Move on also so your own man can find you.
