  Nigeria’s representatives, The Fying Eagles  at the African Youth Championship currently going on in the West African country of Senegal for U-21 footballers have won their first match in the groups stage. They beat the Host by 3 goals to 1. Taiwo Awoniyi got two early goals in the first half before Senegalese, Sidy Sae pulled one back. Nigeria’s Ifeanyi Matthew put the game beyond the reach of their opponents when he scored the third goal in 43^rd minute. They will meet Congo in their next game on March 11, then the Ivory Coast three days later.
