President to slash His Salary
It has been reported that President Muhammadu Buhari has concluded plans to slash his salary and reduce his remunerations.
Buhari is said to have started to make attempt to live up to one of his campaign promises, which is to reduce the cost of governance.
From information gathered, the President has not made the action public because he is still consulting with his close associates on the best way to make the Vice-President and other political appointees do the same without be perceived as dictatorial.
Meanwhile,The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, had last week, revealed President Buhari's salary breakdown.
According to the revenue, Buhari will earn a monthly salary of N3, 514, 705, a regular hardship allowance and 50 per cent of the basic salary, which is N1,757,350.50.
Information is yet to be passed across about what percentage of the President's salary and remunerations will be slashed.
