  How can I know the difference between infatuation and real love? I am seventeen years old. Please, enlighten me.

  Love is forever, infatuation is temporary, this simply means, can you still feel the excitement about him/her when the looks, affluence, money, etc are all gone? Love is after values, infatuation is after things, is it his/her patience, meekness, selfless, discipline, wisdom, prudence, dignity, honesty etc or the car, house, wrist watch, clothes, how s/he smells, beauty, body shape ect that attracting you? better still love and infatuation is dealt with by 1cor 13

  Love focus on the interior more than the exterior,infatuation focus on exterior

  Love is patient and caring while infatuation is in a haste

  love is selfless,infatuation is selfish

  love keeps your purity in check,infatuation wants sex right now

  For a 17 years old girl,i think you should face your God,find your purpose,fulfill it ,read your books and leave the boys
